My Xperia Neo V’s keyboard input has changed to a "emoji-symbol"!!!

Hi everybody I have an Sony Xperia android smartphone, and I've had it for about a 8month, and this recently happened. I recently installed "BBM " and soon after opening it I find my Xperia phone shuts off, I don't think much of it at first, but my Xperia phone is pass-word protected. I proceed to enter the code, and my keyboard input has changed to a "emoji-symbol" app I have downloaded, and it seems I can't switch the input while I enter the password, am I stuck forever? Help me please!
