How to Install Android 4.2.2 KitKat Mackay Omni on Galaxy S I9000

Samsung Galaxy S I9000 can now be updated to Mackay Omni based on Android 4.2.2 KitKat software, this modified ROM is utilizing the ROM's KERNEL and the developers have also OMNI builds to it. The objective behind this ROM is simple as that, “design to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.” This ROM tries to be as close to the stock Android 4.4.2 as it can be, doing so it also offers a huge list of features.

If you want to this custom ROM here is our step-by-step guide to install this ROM on your Galaxy S I9000.

Note : Make sure your device is already installed ClockWorkMod recovery. It must be rooted.

This process performs your own risk.


→ First of all fully charged the device’s battery
→ Enbale USB debugging mode
→ Take backup of all the important data.
→ Don't get panic if Samsung Kies doesn't detect your device once this ROM is fully installed, it's normal, because it's a custom ROM to which Kies is unable to detect it.

Step by step guide - How to Install Android 4.2.2 KitKat Mackay Omni on Galaxy S I9000

Step 1: First of all download Mackay Omni Android 4.4.2 ROM and Google Apps on your PC.

Step 2: Now connect your device via USB cable to your computer

Step 3: Now copy the downloaded above zip file and paste it to your phone′s SD card. Be sure not in any folder, but in SD card root.

Step 4: Now turn it off your Galaxy S I9000 then unplug it from USB cable.

Step 5: Now to enter in Recovery Mode turn on your device, then continue with pressing and holding Volume Up and Home and Power button simultaneously.

Step 6: Now to Do the full data wipe in ClockWorkMod recovery, then find this: ‘ zip file from SD card’ then use your Power button to select it.

Step 7: Now use the Power button again by pressing it to choose “choose zip from sdcard”.

Step 8: Use the volume keys to go to the downloaded zip file you pasted to SD card, then choose it using the Power button. Then on the next screen confirm the installation for it to begin.

Step 9: Now after the installation complete then reboot your device, by choosing the “reboot system now” on the recovery.

Now your Galaxy S I9000 will take some time to reboot and Mackay Omni Android 4.4.2 KitKat custom ROM installed your device.

Process completed.
