8 steps to speed up My Google Nexus 7

Many of our readers have complained about their Google Nexus 7 being very slow with time. We have received many requests to share some beneficial ways to speed up Google Nexus 7 devices. Some also complained that Android 4.2 update was the main factor for slowing down the device. The Android 4.2 update cannot be the only reason for this because devices like Nexus 4 are running this update very smoothly. We believe that a bit inferior configuration of Google Nexus 7 can be a reason for this issue. Whereas Google Nexus 4 with better configuration has no issues.

Today we are bringing you 8 steps to boost your Google Nexus 7 tablet. It is not confirmed that these will help you 100% in boosting up your Google Nexus 7 running on Android 4.2 update. But surely, these will help you in getting the best speed from your Google Nexus 7 tablet.

8 Steps to speed up Google Nexus 7 Tablet

1. Clean up memory: It has been seen that when the in-built memory of 16GB on Nexus 7 is filed up by 80%, the devices starts hanging and slowing down. Therefore, it is advisable to delete unnecessary files from your tablet.

2. Close Background Apps & Sync: Running the syncing option and background applications when not in used slower down your Nexus 7 tablets. Therefore, disable sync option and kill all the unnecessary background applications.

3. Try to ignore Google Chrome: It is well known that Google Chrome browser is very slow on Android devices. You are advised to use AOSP (Android Open Source Project) browser on your Google Nexus 7 tablet.

4. Delete Multiuser accounts: Setting up more than one user account on Google Nexus 7 can slow down your device. Multiple user setting demands more power from processor ending up in slowing down the device.

5. Use Task Manager: Install a task manager on your Google Nexus 7. Have an eye on it and clean cache memory on regular intervals.

6. Run TRIM App: There was a bug found with the drivers of Google nexus 7’s internal memory. This ended in slowing down the device very much. However, with an update this bug was also fixed. But many issues still marked their presence on the device. Therefore, you can try LagFix App or ForeverGone App to TRIM your empty inbuilt storage. This requires rooting which should be done on owner’s risk.

7. Factory RESET: Another way to boost up your Nexus 7 is to have a Factory RESET on your device. But do backup your important data before going further for the RESET.

8. Downgrade your OS Version: If the problem persists, it is advisable to downgrade your OS version from Android 4.2 to Android 4.1.2, you can do so by downloading its correct factory image copy from Google. This does not ensures speeding up your device, but you were happy being with Android 4.2.1 rather than with Android 4.2 on your Google Nexus 7 tablet.

RE: 8 steps to speed up My Google Nexus 7

Hello friends, I have been using Android assistant app for some years now and found it really good and helpful as it has some tools that allow you to increase the speed of your android phone by stopping some programs in the start up or killing some of them while not in use etc.

Thanks
